Atiye Afolabi

I was born in a wooden shed by a river. I have lived with little. I am often in the company of people who strive to live lowly happy lives.

My art is about transmitting the feelings of hope and calmness in a world filled with chaos, uncertainty, and flux. However, I am fascinated with the beauty of a setting sun and the going down of the same. It speaks of a renewed hope, another reasons to believe in the beatitudes of life. My works are low-key landscapes set at sundown with bold figures of interests.

Atiye studied Fine Arts at the Yaba College of Technology visual Art at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
