The series was created in Rousillion’s Colorado Provencal, a Natural Ochre quarry in the South of France. Ochre is an ancient pigment and has been part of the human story since our very start. Ochre worked by humans go back more than 300,000 years. This pigment found in iron-rich rocks is the earliest form of art and symbolism and it plays a central role in debates about the emergence of modern human behaviour. This body of work (pyramid) is a reference to ancient Egypt.
