Anaëlle Myriam Chaaib

Anaelle Myriam Chaaib weaves fabulations and historical narratives that take us on a journey steeped in childhood memories of her two countries of origin. Using a mixture of naive Moroccan painting from the last century and recognisable cultural references, the artist invites us to reflect on the past, the present, reality and fiction. The starting point for this evolving autobiographical reflection is the work entitled "Le mariage: deux fleuves se rencontrent", representing the allegory of the wedding of the artist's parents.
Anaëlle Myriam Chaaib reveals slices of life in which images of France mingle with those of Morocco, offering a poetic narrative imbued with humour and sensitivity. Between her artistic explorations and her passion for cooking, Anaëlle Myriam Chaaib expresses her world through acrylic paintings and gouaches on paper, where the personal and the political meet in a symbolic language
