AA Gallery is pleased to present Views on the wall, the first solo exhibition of Christophe Miralles at the gallery.

Winner of the Prix Azart and the Prix Claire Combes (Taylor Foundation), the Franco-Spanish artist develops a singular body of work between Burgundy and Casablanca. Inheriting both the Spanish tradition and the arid landscapes of the South, Miralles conceives the pictorial surface not as a support for representation, but as a perceptive medium where form emerges from a fragile balance between appearance and erasure.

With Views on the wall, the exhibition brings together a selection of paintings and installations designed as fields of experience. The material—living, reactive, steeped in memory—imposes its own resistance. Rejecting the immediate image, Miralles proceeds through restraint and stripping away: the gesture does not dictate, but accompanies the transformations of form until making perceptible that which, at the edge of the visible, resists narrative.

The display invites a pause in how we look. Views on the wall offers nothing to be consumed; the exhibition creates the conditions for a slowing down, a space of availability where the wall becomes the site of a sensitive cohabitation between presence, matter, and emptiness.
