Yasmine Hadni | Artist

Yasmine Hadni studied at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Art Villa Arson in Nice, then earned a master's degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is primarily a painter, while also exploring other forms of expression including video, drawing, sound and printmaking. Her works, shown at the 1-54 Contemporary Art Fair, reveal a wide range of techniques. Both autobiographical and political in nature, her artistic process deconstructs childhood memories, bearing witness to the social mechanisms of a traditional Moroccan family. The societal paradoxes represented in her art can be understood through the lens of a child’s world that is falsely innocent.

In 2024, she was awarded the second prize for the Mustaqbal Prize from Fondation TGCC in Casablanca, Morocco.
