About

African Arty Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its upcoming group exhibition, “Moroccan Resonances”, bringing together the works of five contemporary artists, each deeply connected to Morocco:
Abderrahmane Rahoule, Flo Arnold, Mostafa Maftah, Mouad El Bissaoui, and Houda Terjuman.

The exhibition invites viewers on a journey through diverse media—painting, sculpture, drawing, and textile—highlighting the richness and plurality of the Moroccan contemporary art scene.

Whether born in Morocco or finding deep artistic resonance within its borders, these five artists form a visual polyphony that explores identity, territory, memory, the body, and imagination. Their works converse around a shared foundation: a common cultural grounding enriched by tradition, lived experience, spirituality, and the transformations of contemporary society.

Loosely inspired by Hartmut Rosa’s concept of resonance, “Moroccan Resonances” serves as both a tribute and a reflection: a tribute to a vibrant, transversal, and ever-evolving art scene; and a reflection on what it means today to “belong to a scene,” oscillating between rootedness and openness to the world.
