Mounat Charrat – En Apesanteur

Between Ephemerality and Permanence, the exhibition unfolds an intimate archaeology that drifts, weightlessly, through three series forming a triptych between grounding and uprooting.

It opens with the tension between heavy matter and unstable memory, continues as a journey inhabited by knowledge or spiritual revelation, and concludes in the awareness of our presence in the world — multiple and ever-shifting.

The Folds of Time

Heavy time bends and resists. Stones, as fragments of memory, strive to escape these folds, revealing the tension between persistence and transformation. They become witnesses to a memory that endures, erodes, and is reborn.

Another Light

A metaphor for a spiritual crossing where stone, dense and earthly, seems animated by an inner light. Sacred gold, symbol of revelation, transfigures matter and opens a passage toward the invisible.

To Exist

Between vulnerability and the persistence of being, stone becomes a body that bears a mineral skin — a surface marked by time.

Like it, we oscillate between exterior and interior, between exposure to the world and secret depth.

Her work is part of several permanent collections, including the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum in Rabat, Société Générale, (Casablanca) Groupe Alliances (Casablanca), TGCC Foundation (Casablanca), Collection Sauvage (Paris), Mairie du Mans (Le Mans).
